Minotti's 10th Annual Spring Fling was held on Thursday, May 19th at Lakewood Country Club. There were hundreds of featured wines to taste an assortment of food and a wide variety of cheese, hors d’oeuvres and desserts plus dozens of silent auction and chinese auction items to bid on. Proceeds from the event benefited Matthews Lending Library.

The Vodka Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia states that famous Russian Chemist Dmitri Mendeleev thought the perfect percentage of alcohol in Vodka was 38. Since spirits during his time were taxed on their strength, the percentage was rounded up to 40 to tax computation easier and classic Russian Vodkas are still made with 40% alcohol.
